Seasonal Rhythms: An Exploration of Ayurveda
Sat, Oct 03
|Harbor House Community Center
In this day long workshop, you’ll get an introduction to the 5,000-year-old study of ayurveda, the sister science of yoga. Where yoga focuses on the spiritual connection of mind, body, and breath, ayurveda examines our daily habits, diet, and lifestyle to improve overall health.

About the event
There are three components to the workshop. In the morning, we will explore what Ayurveda actually is and how it views the body and mind, and the simple idea at its center: that balance looks different for everyone. By the end of this session, you'll understand your own mind-body type and why it matters for how you eat, sleep, and move through your day.
Then we will eat together with a homemade, warming, vegetarian meal where we will discuss cooking with the principles we've learned that day. Expect grounding, nourishing dishes that show what seasonal eating looks like.
Following lunch, we'll dig into what makes fall unique and build a simple set of daily habits to help you feel steady instead of scattered as the season changes. You'll leave with practical ideas and tools for how to better align your life to the world around you.
